Sealed bids for the Town of Sprague 2017 Roadway Maintenance & Capital Improvement Projects will be received at the Sprague Town Hall, First Selectman's Office, 1 Main Street, P.O. Box 677, Baltic, Connecticut 06330 until 10:00AM, on September 7, 2017 prevailing time, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name and bid name.
The Contract consists of miscellaneous curb repairs, guide rail replacements, parking lot paving, and other capital improvements within the Town of Sprague.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:
Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the Sprague Town Hall, Office of the First Selectman, 1 Main Street, Baltic, Connecticut (Monday through Thursday 8:00AM to 4:30PM) upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $40, payable to "Town of Sprague". Mail orders will be accepted with the actual cost of the mailing paid by the Contractor.
Bid surety in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent 5% of this bid is required. The successful bidder shall also furnish a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid, and to waive any informality in the bids received if it deems it to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
No Bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of bid opening thereof. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specific period, this time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the designated, qualified low Bidder.
